Nancy: “I hurt my back moving some boxes and had pain in the lower back.  The problem kept me from moving freely and it was difficult sitting as I need to do at work.  After my adjustments, my back has obviously improved but more happened I didn’t even expect.  I find that I focus better at work.  I am less irritable, and I didn’t even know I was irritable.  I am much more patient with people at home and at work.  I am feeling more energy, and don’t feel exhausted at the end of the day anymore.  Thank you Dr. Brad!!”

Kim: “After being a patient for 3 weeks and after only 5 adjustments, I feel like a new person. The pain I was experiencing in my lower left back was gone after the first adjustment.  The tension I was carrying in my neck and shoulder area has reduced quite significantly.  Without really being conscious of it, the adjustments have changed my attitude and have greatly increased my sense of well-being and happiness.  I guess you could say that ‘everything in my little world is wonderful’.”

Janet: “I had experienced terrible headaches for 3 days.  Nothing I did alleviated the pain.  I had an initial visit with Dr. Brad and the headaches were basically gone within one visit.  My ankles used to bother me chronically when I would jog.  Now, I never have a problem with them.  After being adjusted I feel ‘lighter’, happier, and a lot less obsessive.  Chiropractic adjustments gave me an ease in my gait and my way of being that I hadn’t had for a very long time.”

Floyd:  “I had severe pain in my knees, hips, and lower back.  I could not walk more than ½ mile with my dog.  I am a 75 year old male, retired after 30 years on LA County Fire Department. My condition prevented me from walking my dog and working in the yard.  I had difficulty driving a care: I couldn’t turn my head to look behind, it hurt working the gas and brake pedal. I had trouble just getting my shoes on, and tied.

I went to my HMO medical doctor.  He prescribed pain pills, and said there was not anything he could do for me, you can expect these conditions at your old age.

After about three weeks of Chiropractic care I had less pain.  I have more movement with my head and can look behind me now.  I can now walk 1 ½ miles per day with my dog.  Every treatment feels like I am getting more movement, with less pain.

I would recommend Dr. Miller to anyone, as he has helped me very much.”

Pam: “I began care because of headaches and shoulder pain, for which I had been using over the counter pain medications for quite some time.  I now have no more headaches, and my neck and shoulder pains have improved.  And, my IBS has improved – my bowel functions more regularly with decreased spasms. I definitely got more that I expected because of the improvement with my IBS.”

Bob: (surfer and ultra runner) “I decided to come to Dr. Miller to support my running.  During the racing season I like to come in once a week as part of my training program.  I have been able to compete at my optimum level in my endurance, and my recovery is also better.”

Kim: Í have enjoyed relief from chronic pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome and have regained the feeling in all of my fingers!”

Connie: “Dr. Miller has helped me to manage and overcome pain from long term back problems.  He keeps me moving from week to week. And he can always be counted on to recommend healthful ideas regarding all aspects of physical well being.”

John: “Dr. Miller has helped me eliminate frequent headaches, lower back pain, and stress.”

Luis: (Luis is a bodysurfer and Olympic level water polo player) “Seeing Dr. Miller has alleviated my body from pain and raised my awareness mentally.”

Carla:  “I first came to Dr. Brad because I was in constant pain that was affecting my sleep.  I was unable to jog or run, along with lightheadedness, forgetfulness, irritability, poor posture, depression and headaches. These problems prevented me from doing all of the things I love to do and was beginning to affect my personal relationships.

I took advil non-stop, ate a lot and put on weight, tried to pretend the pain wasn’t there or that it would magically disappear.

After beginning adjustments with Dr. Brad my pain began to lessen, I had more energy, got on a regular exercise program, and started taking food supplements.  The forgetfulness improved, headaches subsided, and posture has improved and continues to improve with regular adjustments.  Dr. Brad truly has been blessed with an incredible gift and healing touch and along with that I feel incredibly grateful to be under his chiropractic care.

I feel that proper chiropractic care should be kept up on a regular basis – I feel that regular chiropractic check-ups, proper diet and exercise will prolong life and well being…it’s one of the best things one can do for body, mind, spirit, and the quality of life.”

Lee:

Dear Dr. Brad:

This letter is written to share my birthday with you! Instinctively, when I reached age 50, I knew that for me the first half century was the hard one, and the second half century would be the better one.

Life works in amazing ways. As I experience my 53rd birthday, I am pleased to see me standing straighter, hearing more clearly, and slowly and steadily (the best way to make anything permanent) gaining physical and consequently - emotional strength.

Though I have been aware of, and have practiced, relatively beneficial health habits, you have quietly shown new doors I can open for-myself for even better ways for me to take care of me. The simple spinal adjustments, repeated consistently, are giving back to me the person I knew was there but sometimes had a hard time locating.

Thank you for pursuing what you do so well.

Kim:

Count me among the converted to the benefits of chiropractic care. For years friends had-told me of the relief from pain they had experienced as a result of chiropractic treatment, but long-held skepticism had prevented my following their example. I'm so glad I finally took advantage of an offer for a "free examination" and initial consultation.

After just a few weeks of care, I am pleased to report a number of improvements: the constant ache in one shoulder is largely gone; injuries heal faster; long, vigorous walks are possible again. By far, however, the most welcome improvement has come in the relief of some of the effects of my carpal tunnel syndrome. After ten years and three surgeries, I had resigned myself to weakness and diminished sensation in both hands. I am most pleased to report that for the first time I can feel heat in the ends of the fingers on one hand. Imagine my surprise when I picked up something from the stove which I had become rather careless about doing - and dropped it because it was too hot! Now I wonder: if my initial care following the diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome had included chiropractic care, would the surgeries and all the subsequent recovery, pain and diminished capacity been avoided? I'm inclined to think, now, this is so.

I am grateful for the improvements I have experienced as a result of your sure and careful administration of chiropractic treatments. I am convinced of the efficacy of this type of care, and encourage others with repetitive strain/stress injuries to consider incorporating chiropractic into their treatment/recovery program.

Carolyn:

Dear Dr. Brad,

Please accept my thanks for all that you have done for my health and wellbeing.

Reluctantly, I came to seek chiropractic care. However, since I have been affiliated with your practice, I have become a true believer. As you are aware, less than one year ago, I came to you after seeing my physician and an acupuncturist. I was suffering from lower back pain and a pinched nerve in my hip and leg. I was unable to walk erect, sleep a full night, or complete all of the tasks needed during the day.

Your thorough examinations, professionalism and sincere concern for your patients is a rare find in this hectic, HMO world. While under your care I have become pain free, energetic and centered. There is only one problem; l have also become addicted to the practice of chiropracty. The  experience has made me so  aware of the state of my body, that when I am under stress or overworked I am aware of the strain to my muscles and frame. I know when I am out of alignment. I have to see Dr. Brad.

Other small things have disappeared to my benefit. I used to suffer greatly with allergies in the spring and fall. Suffering intense  headaches  that would literally blind me. These symptoms are almost non existent. Today, I will experience mild congestion and occasional sneezing. The little aches and pains of normal everyday life either don't exist or have been corrected. .

Again, I thank you for all of your concern and help. I hope to call you a friend as well as my Doctor.

Pat:  Thank you, thank you, thank you! You've done it again! I walked out of your practice last Tuesday feeling basically rejuvenated! That's not a foregone conclusion for a 57 year old body!

It's fascinating to me that even after 2 1/2 years of regular chiropractic care, there is not only the frequent immediate relief from pain or stress, there is also the longer-lasting effect of revitalization, of well-being. We all know how much easier it is to travel through life with a feeling of well-being, of feeling good about yourself.

You have provided me with more mobility in my neck than I remember having twenty years ago! Do you recall my phone call after an adjustment several weeks ago when I thanked you for giving me 360 degree mobility?!! It felt so good! (Still does!)

It seemed that we had reached a plateau in maintenance care for several months, during which there was little "improvement". Then all of a sudden more movement than ever before began to happen and continues to this day! Thank goodness for perseverance, determination, and old-fashioned stubbornness!

Maintaining chiropractic care is so important! I am living proof! Thank your for facilitating not only me but hundreds of other people to enjoy life more fully.

Sonja:

If somebody would have told me a year ago that I will become a healthier and happier person with Chiropractic Care I would have seriously doubted their credibility. I have since changed my mind and here is why:

I met Dr. Miller at my health club a year ago where he was screening the members and providing information on common health problems and how Chiropractic Care would relieve people from their ailments. I was curious to see if he had any information helpful to my situation and ended up describing my lower back problems I had for over half of my life.  Two to four times a year I could count on my back “going out”, leaving me completely immobile for several days, and dreaded “that time of month” due to cramps and low-back tension (I am certain many women know what I am talking about).  An auto accident  added  headaches, sleeplessness ,nausea and lack of concentration, to my list of complaints.

I  had approached several other doctors with my grievances and they recommended I be careful bending over, lifting heavy objects and if my backaches were too painful to take the prescribed muscle relaxants and painkillers... in other words: accept my discomfort and physical limitations. –At that point I leaned about Chiropractic care.

My first visit with Dr. Miller included a thorough spinal examination, sensation and strength tests, and complete x-rays of my neck and spine. At  the following appointment we discussed my condition in detail and what plan he suggested for treatment. I was pleasantly surprised that he took his time, explaining my  symptoms and their origin and was happy to hear that soon I  would be feeling better - healthier. I faithfully stuck to the schedule and after only a couple of weeks noticed that my headaches recurred less and less, my sleep pattern re-established, my period went by without pain and I had a new, overall feeling of well being.  Even my hair and nails were growing stronger and healthier!

I am now on the Wellness Program and received adjustments on a regular basis.  My symptoms have completely disappeared and I feel GRRRREAT!! It is still hard for me to believe all the many wonderful things Chiropractic care has done for me and I can only encourage others to see Dr. Miller and experience the wonderful feeling of health.

MY CHIROPRACTIC EXPERIENCES WITH DR. BRADLEY MILLER

At age 59, I lead an active physical life. I play basketball (half-court) with my two sons, ski, work out at the gym 3 times a week, and run approximately 5 miles per week. On many weekends, I serve as a soccer referee to the AYSO for youths in the 12 to 16 age group.

During summer 1993, I noticed a health fitness set-up at my gym and agreed to be tested for my fat content and other conditions. I felt I was in good condition but had developed a stiffness around my neck and an ache in my left shoulder. Over recent years, I had occasionally gone for chiropractic adjustment for my neck but it only helped for a limited time. As regards my shoulder, I was advised by my HMO physician that it was probably bursitis and could not be helped much.

These were my symptoms as I took the fitness test at my gym. When the doctor (Dr. Miller) reported my results, he pinpointed immediately the fact that I carried my upper body in a strained condition to compensate for my neck stiffness and my lack of neck flexibility. Based upon his findings, I determined to visit his office for a set of neck/back X-rays and a more in-depth analysis.

That led to my first visit. Like most busy people, I generally feel I don't have enough time for doctors unless I have a medical crisis. But I need not have worried. My X-ray session was timely and thorough. When Dr. Miller discussed his findings, he pointed out the likely source of my neck "stiffness" and a deterioration in my lower spinal column due to a congenital birth defect. He recommended a series of treatments which he indicated would not reverse the damage already done but should restore some measure of flexibility and prevent further deterioration.

I started the treatments at 2-3 times per week and quickly reduced down to once per week. As my condition improved, I shifted to the wellness program with visits of approximately twice per month. I have regained moderate flexibility in my neck and upper body and no longer have the almost continuous stiff neck that I had been experiencing. Additionally, through receiving some deep muscle therapy on my back and shoulder, the steady pain that I had grown used to has decreased. And best of all, I am pleased with the professionalism and courtesy one is treated to the office. One is never kept waiting and their attitude is most pleasant.

I'll never be 21 again. But the treatments that I have received from Dr Bradley Miller have improved the quality of my life and permitted me to continue my athletic endeavors with increased gusto. As one can imagine, I am well pleased with how chiropractic treatment has helped me.

Cynthia:

I was getting headaches everyday. I remember thinking that this everyday occurrence was normal, and that the majority of my headaches were from not wearing my reading glasses regularly or that my eyes were just getting worse.

I had received chiropractic care from three former doctor's and was not devoted to stay with a  program due to moving or just being preoccupied.

My first visit was when I was 21. My boyfiiend suggested that I should go because he felt knots and a curvature in my upper back. I didn't stay consistent until my sister started going on a regular bases. My sister has some incredible healing stories. Dr. Weidemeyer, is her Chiropractor, who referred my fiancée to Dr. Miller. My entire family invests in chiropractic care. We all have strong beliefs in being drug free. My Father was able to discontinue his blood pressure medication due to chiropractic care.

On my first visit to Dr. Miller, I went through his consultation which consisted of x-rays in a yellow designer gown, scaled my arms and legs with a prickly gadget that looked liked a pizza cutter, had me touch my toes, and weighed me. My second visit, we went over my x-rays and found a curvature in my upper back, and the alignment of my neck was almost completely straight. No wonder I got a headache everyday. I went in for adjustments three days a week for the first six weeks then once a week for four weeks. At the end of every four week period, my progress was reviewed for frequency of visits.

I now take Reebok Step classes two to three days a week, enjoy playing soccer, and wind surf on occasion. I travel a lot by car or plane.

My headaches are gone! Because I feel better, my body sends me different signals that are much easier to read. I know when I am tired, hungry, or when I need to quit what I am doing. All this happened in the first week.

Life is too short to waste any of it not feeling well if you have any control of your health. Chiropractic care allows your body to heal without the use of medication in most situations. Chiropractic care allows you to heal from the inside out. Your Chiropractor will probably wake up a lot of sensations that you either forgot you had or ever knew about.

Darrel: I met Dr. Miller while visiting the Orange County Swap Meet one Saturday afternoon. He had a booth set up to give free chiropractic evaluations. My wife had noticed my right shoulder drooped slightly. Since she had had some success with past chiropractic treatments she encouraged me to try it. I also thought it was a good idea but I continued to put it off for quite a long time. As I discovered I waited almost too long.

With a very cordial and professional manner Dr. Miller immediately identified my problem. Since I had visited him at the booth he offered me a free visit and x-ray back at his office. The x-rays revealed my problems to be a bit more involved than I expected. Though I suffered from little pain or discomfort, Dr. Miller found I not only had a moderate scoliosis (lateral curvature of the spine) but a forward curve in my neck. Both problems were important but Dr. Miller was much more concerned about my neck. He pointed out that calcium deposits had already begun to form in-between the vertebra. This, as he explained, was the first stage towards a fusing of the cervical bones. This was a very frightening aspect to say the least. Dr. Miller designed a long term program of treatments to correct both problems. I believe if I had gone to a medical doctor he would have placed me on the operating table or might have recommended some sort of brace or traction. I decided chiropractic treatment was at least worth a try.

I have now been with Dr. Miller for nearly a year. Periodic x-rays have shown my neck curve is slowly reversing itself and my scoliosis is straightening. Additionally, I have found I have gained a much greater range of motion in my neck than I had expected. Also slight discomforts that I had previously dismissed as the aches and pains of growing older trouble me less and less. One other interesting note is that for the past five or six years I have picked up annually two rather severe colds. I usually got them as the seasons change from winter to spring and from summer to fall. My summer/fall cold failed to appear and I have yet to receive my winter/spring cold. I attribute this to chiropractic which, as I have learned, also helps the body to better ward off infections. Dr. Miller was as pleased as I was to hear this news.

I have always been concerned about conventional treatments offered by most medical doctors. While their treatments may help in alleviating problems such as mine, in many cases I think their cure is often worse than the disease. This is not to condemn medical doctors. Much of what they do is indispensable. Too often, I think they rely on invasive treatments such as drugs and surgery to correct problems. Whereas chiropractic, being wholistic in nature, attempts to allow the body's own mechanisms to cure itself. To some this is a radical, even frightening, departure from traditional medical wisdom, however I find it much more practical and certainly more comforting to know I have this choice. Too few medical doctors have embraced this method of treatment. I hope, for their patient's sakes, this situation changes. In the meantime, if you are having a problem I hope you will give chiropractic a chance, just as I did.

As for your doctor I hope you will consider Dr. Miller. I have found him to be a man who loves his work as much as he loves to alleviate pain and discomfort and improve people's health. He has treated me with a kindness  and professionalism that I know is rare. I am certain you would benefit from his help. But whatever your choice may be, I wish you the best of luck.

John:

I had been suffering with lower and middle back, and neck pain for about 8 years. In addition, I would experience several headaches every week and have to take a pain reliever to excess to even perform minimal duties at work.

Initially, I went to several orthopedic specialists without results. Finally, and at the urging of a friend, I went to see a chiropractor and have realized increased results ever since. I previously thought that I would have to live with nighttime lower and middle back pain until being treated by Dr. Miller.

I was referred to chiropractic by a close friend that was unable to work because of lower back pain until undergoing chiropractic treatment.

I was given a full examination, including X-Rays, physical examination, and an overall diagnosis was discussed with me in detail. What I was informed was that I had several abnormal curvatures in my spine causing subluxations and thus, pain and a weakness in my usual strength. I was also experiencing a lack of energy, which had never been a problem, which might be due to the subluxations. My recommended treatment was to have adjustments three times a week for two weeks and then once a week thereafter. After the first two visits I began to improve substantially.

I live a very active life, including many sports activities such as racquetball, windsurfing, surfing, SCUBA diving, bicycling, motorcycling, water and snow skiing, and weight lifting for tone. In addition, to enhance my knowledge, I enjoy reading, working with computers and leading-edge technology, and building hot rods.

Under Dr. Miller's care, I no longer experience the nightly back pain when I go to bed. I seldom have headaches, and my energy level has increased to its near-original level without the high-low fluctuations. I started feeling results after the first two visits and minimal back pain after only a couple of weeks.

It is my recommendation that if you have a problem with back pain, low energy levels, or headaches, you must address the problems and not the symptom. Chiropractic does just that and made my daily life much more enjoyable, something that I once again look forward to. I have personally experienced amazing results due to chiropractic, and Dr. Miller was able to treat and cure conditions that no other doctor had even examined for.

WHAT CHIROPRACTIC CARE HAS DONE FOR ME

by Carol Clements

For three years I have sustained constant sharp pain in my lower back, caused by a minor car accident.

Then, being a fairly active person, it became awkward and painful to play sports and exercise. As time went on, I slowly stopped all activities.

When I sat for any period of time and then stood up, I would be stiff and could not stand up straight right away. I would have to hold my lower back and slowly straighten up. When I stood, I would have to shift my weight from leg to leg to find a comfortable position to stand in.

Through a company "health fair", I had met a chiropractor and had made an appointment. The initial exam was brief and a few x-rays were taken. I was told I had a subluxation of the 5th lumbar vertebra. The treatment given:  adjustments twice a week. Doing this for a few months I was unable to feel any change in my body. I became discouraged and stopped seeing that Doctor.

Living with the discomfort, and becoming miserable as the days, months, years went by, a friend recommended that I go and see Dr. Miller.

The first exam with Dr. Miller was the same as the original exam I had years prior, with the exception of a few, added tests. The next time I saw Dr. Miller, was after he had determined the results from my tests. With concern Dr Miller explained to me what was going to be needed to correct my problem. Along with his work and my participation, I would become healthy again. It is going to take team work.

With the daily exercises and being conscious of the way I sit, stand and sleep and coming to see Dr. Miller on a regular basis I can do a lot more with little or no pain. I feel 100% better than I did 4 months ago. I still have a lot of work to do, but with Dr. Miller on my side, it will be a breeze.

I'm glad that my friend recommended me to see Dr. Miller. Dr. Miller is a very caring person and has enjoyed seeing the progress I've made in the short time I've been seeing him.

Thank you Dr. Miller for being on my team!!!
