This office is equipped with state of the art subluxation testing equipment, the Insight Millennium.  This is the most excited thing to happen at my office, and likely to chiropractic itself, in a long time.  We can now objectively measure any nervous system dysfunction, and also measure your progress and response to adjustments - right here in the office!  This means We Test, We Don't Guess!

When you have a subluxation in the spine, what gets interfered with is the nerve root exiting from the spinal cord to go to run all your parts.  About 10% of that root is related to pain perception.  The other 90% is roughly divided to 1. Autonomic function - the things that run without you thinking of them - glands, blood supply, your organs - stomach, lungs, liver, etc. and 2. Motor function - your supporting musculature.

Our state-of-the-art technology that has two unique spinal scanning features, the Surface Electromyography (SEMG) and Infrared Thermography (IRT). It allows us to objectively measure any nervous system interference. The scans are non-invasive, do not cause pain or irritation, making these tests totally safe for infants, children, pregnant women, or seniors. It simply requires the placement of small probes against the skin.

Surface electromyography scan (SEMG) - The SEMG uses a small electrical signal to graph the nerve and muscle activity which runs the motor system. Specifically, it measures the electrical signal muscles give off when they contract. The more the muscles have contracted around the bones of your spine, the higher the signal. Subluxation will alter the readings.

Thermal scan (IRT) - Thermal scans measures skin temperature at each level of the spine, so we can monitor the autonomic nervous system, which regulates the organs and glands and blood vessels of the body. When nerve function is interfered with, a subluxation occurs and as a result, muscles, blood vessels, and organs may malfunction. A person may have disturbances in the autonomic nervous system that is affecting organs and glands and experience no pain at all.

  1. Do the Insight Millennium tests hurt?
Absolutely not. The tests do not utilize any needles, electrical shock, or heat whatsoever. They are receiving important information from your Central nervous system and it is totally non-invasive.  This is especially important for our pregnant members.
  2. Why does I administer these tests?
My purpose for administering these tests is to detect and pinpoint abnormal function in the nervous system. Abnormal spinal function causes Nervous System disturbance. The standard tests will measure: 1) SEMG - the amount of electrical current in the muscles 2) Thermography - skin temperature along the spine.
  3. Why is it important to monitor the results?
I want the best results for the members of my practice. I can easily monitor your progress through periodic exams. It has been proven that a very slight amount of pressure (the weight of a dime!) can disturb the communication of the Nervous System whether or not symptoms are present. In the past, this has been difficult to quantify.  Knowing exactly the state of your nervous system is vitally necessary to improving your health and well-being.
  4. How will this test benefit me?
For years, a  concern of practice members has been, “Why should I keep coming back when I’m pain free?” or “How do I know if I’m getting the proper amount of adjustments?” Using pain, or how you feel, is a lousy way of measuring health.  We've all heard of the "healthy" person who felt great and then died of a heart attack the next day or was diagnosed with cancer.  Now we are able to objectively determine the amount and type of care that is best for you. Because of this technology, I can provide a “tailor-made” program to meet your specific health needs.

Below is a typical case.  You can see the progress.  It's important to note that if we don't see progress with your scans, we know that we have to do something different, and that's what will happen.  I will either change techniques or frequency of adjustments or some other aspect of your care, or I will recommend a different type of care for you. But now, with this technology, we will know exactly what is happening with you.
